7.2 Lift and Dump Test - shall verify the cart's compatibility with approved, <br />commercially available, standard dumping equipment. Test shall be performed at <br />room temperature with a cycle time that simulates lift, dump and return of 6 <br />seconds. Carts shall remain watertight and functional beyond 6,000 cycles. Test <br />loads are as follows: <br />Size A: 160 lbs. distributed <br />Size B: 250 lbs. distributed <br />Size C: 3501bs. distributed <br />7.3 WheeUAxle Test -shall verify the combined durability of the wheels, axle and cart <br />axle supports under fully loaded conditions. The two cycle tests shall be performed <br />at room temperature as follows: <br />Cycle 1 - with a rolling length of 75 feet and a 5" curb drop. Cart shall continue to <br />roll freely and be watertight after 1,000 drops. <br />Cycle 2 -repeated with a 5.5" stair drop. <br />watertight after 1,000 drops. <br />Test loads shall be as follows: <br />Size A: 125 lbs. distributed <br />Size B: 200 lbs. distributed <br />Size C: 3501bs. distributed <br />Cart shall continue to roll freely and be <br />7.4 Salt Spray - ASTM B117-90 corrosion tests shall be applied to the lift bracket for a <br />minimum of 96 hours and to the axle for a minimum of 500 hours. Bracket and axle <br />shall remain corrosion free. <br />8. Serial Number/Manufacture Date: Each cart shall be hot stamped with a seven digit, 1-%2" <br />high alphanumeric identification number on the front of the cart. An in-molded year/month <br />date wheel identification will be located on the bottom of the cart. <br />9. Markings: Each cart lid shall be clearly and permanently marked with the cart's size or <br />volume capacity. <br />9.1 Precautionary instructions shall be molded into the lids in English and Spanish as <br />follows: <br />Size A: Cart Capacity 35 Gallons <br />Do not overload or you may have difficulty controlling the cart. <br />Do not roll cart with lid open. <br />Do not put sand, soil, rocks or concrete in cart. <br />Maximum load 125 pounds. <br />Do not put anything hot such as ashes in the cart. <br />25A-46 <br />
