REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />APRIL 3, 2006 <br />TITLE: <br />RENEW AGREEMENT FOR POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT JANITORIAL <br />SERVICES <br />CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1s` Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2ntl Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to renew the agreement with Able Building Maintenance <br />Company, for janitorial services at the Police Department in an amount not <br />to exceed $400,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In November 2003, the City Council approved a one-year agreement with the <br />option of two, one-year renewals with Able Building Maintenance Company to <br />provide janitorial services at the Police Department. The agreement <br />provides for equipment, supplies, and maintenance of the Police Department <br />facility with an on-site supervisor. Able Building Maintenance Company has <br />performed in a satisfactory manner and staff recommends exercising the last <br />one-year renewal option of this agreement. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Police Department's Property & Building Other <br />Contractual Services Account (account no. 011-350-6291). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />~~ ~ r /~ <br />Paul M.
