<br />\wi <br /> <br />'wi <br /> <br />IFB 99-107 <br />page 13 of 33 <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br /> <br />A qualified CONTRACTOR'S representative shall be required to inspect the facility once a <br />week or more often if requested by the CITY. <br /> <br />Section II of Attachment "B" indicates the detailed performance standards that the Contractor <br />will be expected to perform as part of the routine services. Section III indicates the frequency of <br />those services. <br /> <br />n. ROUTINESERVlCESPERFORMANCESTANDARDS <br /> <br />1. CLEAN AND DISINFECT DRINKING FOUNTAINS AND SINKS <br /> <br />Use a spray bottle of germicidal detergent solution, sponge or cloth, small percolator <br />brush, abrasive pad or lotion cleanser to remove all obvious soil, streaks, smudges, etc., <br />from the including the spouts and drain. After cleaning and disinfection, the entire <br />drinking fountain and/or sink (sink refers to all sinks in coffee rooms or lounges) shall be <br />free of streaks, stains, spots, smudges, scale, and other removable soil. Oil is not to be <br />: used to polish metal fixtures. <br /> <br />2. CLEAN AND DISINFECT WASH BASINS. TOILETS AND URINALS <br /> <br />Use a spray bottle, to apply germicidal detergent solution to all surfaces of wash basin, <br />toilets, toilet seat hinges, pipes, urinals, showers and adjacent surfaces. Use a sponge or <br />cloth (except inside toilet bowls and urinals where a bowl mop shall be used) to remove <br />soil from all surfaces of these fixtures and adjacent surfaces. Use lotion cleanser and an <br />abrasive pad to remove soil not removed by the sponge or cloth and germicidal detergent <br />solution. Use a dry cloth to dry metal surfaces of faucets, handles, valves, etc. The <br />sponges and cloths used in cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals and other surfaces <br />contaminated with urine or feces shall be a color readily distinguishable from sponges <br />used on other surfaces and fixtures. Floor and door soap scum, mold and mildew will be <br />removed daily and drain screens cleaned of hair and lint. Oil is not to be used to polish <br />metal fixtures. <br /> <br />3. CLEAN ENTRANCE MATS <br /> <br />Use a wet/dry tank vacuum to remove moisture and a carpet vacuum to remove dry soil <br />from carpeted type entrance mats. Non-carpeted type entrance mats shall be cleaned by <br />shaking, hosing with water and/or vacuuming. <br />
