Allow the prespray eight (S) to ten (10) minutes <br />dwell time. Extract the presprayed area with hot water only. Note: do not <br />prespray too large an area. If the prespray is allowed to dry prior to <br />extraction, it will not be effective. <br /> <br />B Deterl!ent (pH not to exceed 10.5) <br />Dilute the detergent to 1/2 the chemical manufacturer's specified ratio per gallon <br />of hot water. extract the carpet. If there are any large stains, it is advisable to <br />prespray them with the prespray prior to eXtracting. <br /> <br />2. NON-SPECIFIC TASKS <br /> <br />Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by the Property Manager. The hourly price <br />shall include the cost of any tool, item of equipment, chemical or supply if such type of <br />item is used in performing routine services as defined in the Specifications. Should any <br />tool, item of equipment, chemical or supply not normally used in performing routine <br />services be required as directed by the City, such term shall be deemed to be not included <br />in this bid price and shall be reimbursed to the Contractor. <br /> <br />3. STRIP AND REFINISH FLOORS <br /> <br />All non-fixed furnishings such as tables, chairs, desks, trash receptacles, storage <br />containers shall be removed prior to stripping unless exempted by the City. A single disc <br />floor machine, stripping pad, putty knife, abrasive pad, mop, mop bucket and wringer, <br />floor finish remover and rust remover shall be used to remove all removable marks, heel <br />marks, scuff marks, rust stains, gum and other types of stains and soil. Manual scrubbing <br />devices shall be used in areas inaccessible to the floor machine. <br /> <br />4. WASH FLORESCENT LIGHT FIXTURES <br /> <br />Remove lenses, clean both sides with damp pad and replace lenses into fixture. <br /> <br />5. HIGH DUSTING <br /> <br />Remove dust, cobwebs, oily film, etc., from all fixtures and surfaces above 10 feet from <br />the top of the floor. This includes lights, grills, light fixtures, pipes, sprinkler system, <br />cables, ledges, walls, ceilings, vents, etc. High dusting shall be accomplished by using <br />treated dust cloths, Iambs wool dusting tools, damp sponges, and a tank vacuum with <br />dusting and vacuuming attachments. <br />
