Change Order No. 2 <br />Project No. 1758 <br />May 1, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br />The contract documents require upgrade of the traffic signal system in <br />the downtown area by providing installation of traffic communication <br />infrastructure and replacement of outdated equipment, including <br />cabinets and signal controllers. During construction, the actual <br />quantity of conduits, loops, and cables to be installed was found to be <br />more than the estimated quantity for the project. In addition, video <br />detection system cables and conduits for future project need to be <br />installed. <br />Estimated cost = 572,000 <br />The Council's approval is required to cover the extra costs exceeding <br />the project contingency. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The cost for the change order is estimate at $72,000. Funds are <br />available in the Transportation System Improvement Area F Fund {account <br />no. 35-631-6631). <br />ames G.
