FOR <br />VETERINARY SERVICES <br />~~ <br />ITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with <br />Community Veterinary Hospital, Inc., to provide veterinary services for <br />police service dogs for an additional one year term in an additional <br />amount of $7,500, for a total aggregate amount not to exceed $17,500. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In May 2005, Community Veterinary Hospital, Inc. was contracted to provide <br />veterinary services for the police service dogs for a one-year term. <br />Community Veterinary Hospital, Inc. provides physical examinations, <br />evaluations, vaccinations, and all other necessary treatment for the <br />police service dogs. Community Veterinary Hospital, Inc, has performed <br />satisfactorily and staff recommends amending the agreement for another <br />one-year term. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds will be budgeted in the FY 06-07 Police Patrol Services Other <br />Contractual Services account (account no. 011-337-6291). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Paul M.
