REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />JiTNE 19, 2006 <br />TITLE: <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH CDM <br />FOR STORMWATER RELATED SERVICES <br />FOR THE CITY'S DRAINAGE FACILITY <br />INSPECTION, GIS INVENTORY, AND <br />SOURCE CONTROL PROGRAM <br />~~ <br />~' CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1St Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with CDM in <br />the amount of $20,000 for a total cost of $355,000 and extend the <br />agreement for one year to provide stormwater related services for the <br />City's Drainage Facility Inspection, GIS Inventory and Source Control <br />Program. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In September 2002, the Public Works Agency applied for and received <br />Proposition 13 grant funding for the City's Drainage Facility Inspection, <br />GIS Inventory and Source Control Program. This project includes the <br />development of a GIS database of drainage and industrial facilities <br />utilized to inspect and identify possible sources of pollution and the <br />development of a source control program. <br />To comply with the Regional Water Quality Control Board's extensive <br />requirements to fulfill of the terms of the grants, an additional $20,000 <br />in professional services is needed to complete the project. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />request is not considered a project.
