Attachment A <br />ENFORCEMENT TERRORISM PREVENTION <br />The FY05 LETPP seeks to provide law enforcement communities H <br />capabilities for detecting, deterring, disrupting, and preventing acts of tE <br />FY05 LETPP will provide law enforcement communities with funds for <br />activities: <br />Information Sharing to Preempt Terrorist <br />enforcement communities to purchase ec <br />expeditious sharing of information and inte <br />terrorist attacks. <br />Target Hardening to Reduce Vulnerability: Funds provided under tt <br />will allow law enforcement communities to make vulnerable targets more <br />attack or more difficult to remove or damage. <br />Threat Recognition: Funds provided under this category will allow law enforcement <br />personnel to purchase equipment and conduct additional training that assists in <br />further recognizing the potential or development of a threat. <br />Intervention Activities: Funds provided under this category will <br />enforcement personnel to purchase equipment and conduct activities <br />enhance their capabilities to prevent domestic terrorism incidents. <br />Interoperable Communications: Funds provided under this category will allow law <br />enforcement personnel to purchase equipment to ensure interoperable <br />communications between, and among, law enforcement agencies and other <br />emergency service disciplines such as fire and emergency management. <br />The SAA must coordinate the implementation of this program with the state's Lead Law <br />Enforcement Agency (LLEA). When identifying administrative and planning needs, <br />each grantee should assess current staffing levels and determine whether a portion of <br />the FY05 LETPP funds should be used to enhance administrative capabilities within the <br />LLEA. <br />This section provides guidance on the types of expenditures that are allowable ur <br />the LETPP. Please refer to Appendix A: Authorized Program Expenditures <br />additional information on authorized and unauthorized LETPP expenditures <br />
