Santa Ana Fair Housing Education, Counseling and Enforcement <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Total number of un duplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non.Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by <br />the funded program, named above, during the 12.month contract period. <br />6,300 PERSONS <br /> <br />II. Number of only unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, <br />during the 12.month contract period. <br />6,300 PERSONS <br /> <br />Program and Funding Description <br />Ill. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12.month <br />contract period. <br /> <br />SERVICES & GOALS <br />Assist about 30 households to address allegations of illegal housing discrimination for which a case file is opened. This includes <br />investigation, where possible, and helping aggrieved individuals obtain redress through administrative or judicial complaint <br />processes. <br /> <br />Assist about 1,620 households in addressing about 4,200 landlord/tenant housing issues or disputes. The goal is to provide clients <br />with information, options and sample written materials to allow them to pursue a largely "self.help" solution to their problem. <br /> <br />Participate in at least 8 community education presentations or events helping at least 100 households to better understand their <br />housing rights and obligations. This will raise community awareness of appropriate behavior and realization of legal rights with <br />regard to housing related transactions. <br /> <br />Invite 5th & 6th grade Santa Ana schoolchildren to participate in our annual fair housing-themed poster contest. <br /> <br />IV. Activities funded by this grant - How will CDBG funds be used for the funded program? Narratively <br />describe the budget for the funded program illustrated in Exhibit Band B.I. <br />Grant funds will be used for personnel and operating costs for a fair housing education, counseling & enforcement program. The <br />vast majority of the funds, some 82%, will cover personnel costs. Cost of communications will be about 4%. Costs related to <br />building occupancy will be about 2.5%. Costs for operating and office supplies will be about 1.8% Costs for fair housing testing <br />and on-site investigation will be about 2%. Staff training costs will be about 1.5%. The remaining 6.2% will be used for other <br />operating and administrative costs. <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br />Page I of2 <br />
