Award a contract to Watson Roofing, Inc., the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of <br />$360,808 for construction of roof replacements at Heritage, Madison, <br />Adams, and Memorial Parks. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $451,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The roofs at Heritage, Madison, Adams, and Memorial Parks have become <br />weather-beaten over time. Normal maintenance will no longer keep water <br />from leaking through the roofs. As a result, water damage is taking its <br />toll on the interiors of these buildings. The project provides for <br />removal and replacement of the deteriorated roofing materials. The <br />asphalt shingle roofs at all the parks will be removed and replaced with <br />standing seam metal roofing. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on April 14 and 19, and bids were <br />opened on May 16, 2006.
