JOINT STUDY SESSION-NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC PLANS <br /> <br />Dee Runnels <br />Tina Oda <br /> <br />City Manager David Ream indicated City staff did not maintain demographic information by <br />neighborhood and noted that Community Development Agency Neighborhood Improvement <br />Coordinator Norm Canchola was available to assist the neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Richardson emphasized that the City's objective in regard to traffic planning was <br />to keep the process fair and open. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido expressed the Council's appreciation to the ETAC members for their time and <br />effort in working out the neighborhood traffic planning process. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - 6:50 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - 6:51 P.M. - With the same Councilmembers present <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />90.A. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />James Eichman indicated he had purchased a property at 1924 W. Fourth Street to house his <br />plumbing business, but expressed concern that this site did not meet the City's new setback <br />requirements. At the Mayor's request, Councilmember Lutz agreed to meet with Eichman in an <br />attempt to resolve the problem. <br /> <br />Tina Oda commented that the City had "weeded" more than "seeded" her neighborhood in the <br />implemention of the Weed and Seed Program, expressed concern regarding the City's long-term <br />debt, and complained about the cost of obtaining information from the City. <br /> <br />Margaret Farris wished the Council a Merry Christmas, reported she was receiving crank phone <br />calls, and requested the Council ask the Police Chief to investigate her situation. <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan reported a proliferation of phone booth installations in the public <br />right-of-way, particularly on 17th Street and at 1st and Newhope Streets, and requested the <br />Planning & Building Agency and City Attorney Ed Cooper investigate what actions might be <br />taken to remove the booths. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 361 DECEMBER 18, 1995 <br /> <br /> <br />
