Amend the contract to Corporate Express Imaging for computer <br />cartridges and supplies by $10,000 for a total amount not to exceed <br />$116,000. <br />2. Reject the bids from Cartridge World and Lasercycle USA, as <br />nonresponsive to the specification. <br />3. Award a contract to Software House International for the purchase of <br />toner cartridges, diskettes, and zip disks for a two-year period, with <br />provision for two, one-year renewals in the amount of $79,730.55. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Central Stores section of Finance and Management Services Agency <br />provides computer cartridges, diskettes, and zip disks as necessary to <br />maintain the needs of various departments throughout the City. The contract <br />for computer cartridges, diskettes and zip disks is designed to provide <br />quality products at a significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on August 30 and September 1, 2006, <br />and bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids <br />received is as follows: <br />29 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />12 Bids received <br />Bids were received, opened on September 13, 2006, and evaluated (Exhibit <br />1) The bid from Cartridge World and Lasercycle was considered <br />nonresponsive as they contained substitute remanufactured cartridges <br />instead of the OEM Hewlett Packard cartridges. The bid received from <br />Software House International is responsive to the specifications and meets <br />the City's requirements. <br />22J-1 <br />
