<br />(I) Multi-layer protocol consisting of data-link and application layers at a <br />minimum integrity. Packets must be discarded if the packet's check sum <br />is not valid. <br />(2) Each display on the network will be assigned a unique physical address <br />in the range of I to 240 <br />(3) Each display must respond to every packet addressed to it, except in the <br />case of broadcast addressing. Displays must never initiate <br />communication on the network. Each response will indicate the success <br />or failure of the display to act upon the received packet <br />(4) Software address may be assigned to each display. Address will override <br />the physical address <br />(5) Broadcast addressing will allow multiple displays to receive one packet <br />m) The software shall be capable of displaying operational status of each display. <br />This shall minimally include the following information: <br />(1) Display Name: name of display as entered by the operator <br />(2) Address: an identification number associated with a specific sign by <br />which the software locates the sign to establish communication <br />(3) Communications Status: pictorially represented as "normal" or "Failed" <br />(4) Current Message: as {name of message being displayed} or "Blank" <br />(5) Time and Date: as running on the display <br />(6) Last Reset: date and time oflast communications with sign <br />(7) Available Memory: pictorially and numerically represented memory <br />available in the LED controller <br />(8) Brightness: the intensity control of the LEDs at which the display is <br />currently operating, set as "Automatic" or "Manual" <br />(9) Firmware Version: current firmware version of the LED controller <br />(10) Schedule Status: indicates if a schedule is active at the display <br /> <br />9. Football/Soccer Scoreboard Sponsor Panels <br />Proposals shall include two (2) sponsor panels (capable of displaying up to four sponsor <br />logos) that meet the following requirements: <br /> <br />a) Side copy areas dimensions shall be approximately 8'-10" (2692 mm) high and <br />7'-0" (2133 mm) wide <br />b) All aluminum construction <br />c) All exterior surfaces shall be primed and painted using automotive industrial <br />finish or better in colors determined by the City <br />d) The letters shall be made of vinyl material and applied directly to the face of the <br />display <br />e) Panel copy is to be provided through the application of digitally printed vinyl, <br />capable of incorporating full-color graphics and text <br />10. Truss <br />Bidder shall provide one (I) truss on scoreboard with lettering. The truss shall meet the <br />following requirements: <br />a) Dimensions: 4'-0" (1219 nun) high, 25'-0" (7620 nun) wide, 3" (76 nun) <br />Weight: 325 Ib (147 kg) <br />b) All aluminum construction <br />c) Shall be constructed of durable tubing <br />d) All exterior surfaces shall be primed and painted using automotive industrial <br />finish or better in colors determined by the City <br /> <br />14 <br />
