Oak <br />Engineering, Inc. (OEI) submitted a bid in an amount of $342,032. The day <br />following the bid opening, OEI requested to be relieved of their bid, <br />stating that they had made a clerical error in filling out the bid. After <br />examining OEI' s bid and other documents, staff has found sufficient <br />grounds for the relief and therefore, recommends that OEI's request be <br />granted. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Pro Tech Engineering, <br />for $399,285, which is above the Engineer's estimate of $339,290. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Environmental Review Nos. 2006-2 and 2005-215 were completed and <br />Categorical Exceptions were filed for these proj ects pursuant to the <br />California Environmental Quality Act. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of <br />$499,100 for the project (Exhibit 2). Funds are available in the Traffic <br />System Management Grant Pedestrian Safety Fund (account no. 147-651-6631) <br />and the Select Street Construction Fund (account no. 59-551-6631). <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />....- -.--4, :~... :~J ~ <br /> <br />James G.
