<br />FY 2006 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM - DECEMBER 2, 2005 <br /> <br />FY 2006 HSGP I)rogram Overview Goal Mission <br />Area <br /> LETPP focuses upon the prevention of terrorist attacks and <br /> provides law enforcement and public safety communities with <br />Law Enforcement funds to support the following activities: intelligence gathering <br />Terrorism and information sharing through enhancing/establishing fusion Common <br />Prevention centers; hardening high value targets; planning strategically; Activities, Prevent <br />Program (LETPP) continuing to build interoperable communications; and <br /> collaborating with non-law enforcement partners, other <br /> government agencies and the private sector. <br /> MMRS funds support MMRS jurisdictions to further enhance <br />Metropolitan and sustain an integrated, systematic mass casualty incident <br />Medical Response preparedness program that enables a first response during the Common <br />first crucial hours of an incident. The program prepares <br />System (MMRS) jurisdictions for response to the range of mass casualty Activities, Prevent, <br />Program incidents, including CBRNE, and agriculture to epidemic Respond, Recover <br /> outbreaks, natural disasters and large-scale hazardous materials <br /> incidents. <br /> The Citizen Corps mission is to actively involve all citizens in Common <br />Citizen Corps hometown security through personal preparedness, training, Activities, Prevent, <br />Program (CCP) exercises, and volunteer service. CCP funds support Citizen Protect, Respond, <br /> Corps Council efforts to engage citizens in all-hazards Recover <br /> prevention, protection, response, and recovery. <br /> <br />In addition to the programs outlined in the FY 2006 HSGP, Table 2 outlines other programs also <br />funded by G&T but not included in this guidance. <br /> <br />Table 2 - Other FY 2006 Office of Grants and Training Grant Programs <br /> <br />FY 2006 Pl'ogram Overview Goal Mission <br />Program Area <br /> The EMPG program gives States the opportunity to structure <br /> individual emergency management programs based on needs <br />Emergency and priorities for strengthening their emergency management Common <br />Management capabilities, while addressing issues of national concern. States Activities, Protect, <br />Performance Grant have the flexibility to develop systems that encourage the Respond, Recover <br />(EMPG) Program building of partnerships which include government, business, <br /> volunteer, and community organizations. <br /> BZPP provides funding for enhanced security of select critical <br />Buffer Zone infrastructures and assets.
