Year-Round Schedule - Schools within the SAUSD assigned to the year-round <br />schedule are in session an average of 238 days per year. The schedule is based on a <br />school year that begins on July Island ends on June 30th of the following year. <br />2. Traditional Schedule - Schools within the SAUSD assigned to the traditional school <br />schedule operate an average of 180 days per year beginning in September and ending <br />in June. <br />3. Modified Calendar Schedule - Schools within the SAUSO assigned to the modified <br />calendar sahedule operate on a schedule similar to the traditional school schedule but <br />include extended holiday periods. The modified calendar schedule begins in August <br />and ends in June. <br />4. "D" Cycle Schedule - Franklin Elementary School is the only school in the SAUSD <br />that operates on the "0" Cycle schedule. This operates for an average of 90 days and <br />then takes a break for 90 days. <br /> <br />Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) <br />1. Traditional Schedule - All schools in the City of Santa Ana that are within the <br />GGUSO are assigned to the traditional schedule. Traditional schedule schools are <br />open an average of 180 days per year beginning in September and ending in June. <br /> <br />Orange Unified School District (OUSD) <br />1. Year-Round Schedule - Fairhaven Elementary School is the only school in the City <br />of Santa Ana that is governed by the OUSD.
