Additional Information and Comments

Intergraph Corporation looks forward to assisting the City of Santa Ana with the
migration of the City's street centerline data into Oracle Spatial, and the implementation
of dynamic segmentation for the display of pavement management information, through
the use of Inter graph's GeoMedia Transportation Manager. We believe that the City will
realize other benefits from the development of a robust street centerline data model,
which may be extended to other applications within the City's data administration and
analysis. The City may decide to extend solutions for many common spatially-based
business requirements, such as: geocoding (the ability to create points on a map from a
list of addresses) and routing (for example: for garbage collection, street maintenance,
and street sweeping). To leverage the City's investment in linearly-referenced data and
GeoMedia Transportation Manager software, Intergraph would like to offer the following
transportation application review session as part of this project, at no additional cost to
the City.

Intergraph's product manager for GeoMedia Transportation, Phil Hardy, works in the Los
Angeles area, and will be pleased to conduct a half-day session with the City staff to
review the City's need for additional transportation applications that will leverage the
City's street centerline data and software. He will discuss the potential uses of dynamic
segmentation analysis in a municipal setting, offering examples of successful projects at
other local government agencies. Mr. Hardy will also discuss the benefits of moving
toward a multi-level linear referencing model, which could be a follow-on project at the
City of Santa Ana once the project that is the subject of this RFP is completed. Mr.
Hardy's resume has been included in Appendix A for your reference.

0' City of Santa Ana
Oracle Locator Geospatial Street Centerline Data Model with LRS

Page19of39

~(O
