<br />LAND USE ELEMENT <br /> <br />Other Implementing Tools and Plans <br /> <br />As indicated previously, a number of adopted plans will continue to be <br />implemented over the "life" of this Land Use Elemen!. These plans are <br />summarized below, and described in further detail in this Appendix <br />(Relationship to Other Plans and Elements). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Santa Ana Redevelopment Plan - This plan, consisting of 694 acres <br />was adopted in 1973 to revitalize the downtown area, improve traffic, <br />re-establish businesses, and stimulate private investment. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />North Harbor Boulevard Redevelopment Plan - Adopted in 1982, the <br />Plan covers 470 acres along Harbor Boulevard. A Specific Plan has <br />been adopted for this area which outlines future development, as well <br />as design standards for new development in the area and proposed <br />infrastructure projects. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Inter-City Commuter Station Redevelopment Plan - This plan, also <br />adopted in 1982, focuses on 525 acres designed to provide for the <br />development of a commuter rail station, and to promote supporting <br />uses. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />South Main Street Redevelopment Plan - The plan covers 1,500 acres <br />in one of the primary commercial districts of the City. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />South Harbor Boulevard/Fairview Street Redevelopment Plan - This <br />1,085 acre plan covers a key industrial area in the vicinity of Harbor <br />Boulevard and Fairview Street. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Bristol Corridor Redevelopment Plan - The plan, which encompasses <br />781 acres, promotes the redevelopment of the Bristol Street corridor of <br />the City. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Enterprise Zone - A 7,000 acre portion of the City of Santa Ana was <br />designated by the State as a California Enterprise Zone in 1993. This <br />designation provides businesses with State tax incentive programs <br />designed to promote new business development, and growth or <br />expansion of existing businesses for revitalization of the economy of <br />the zone. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Metro East Mixed Use Overlay Zone - This overlay zone stretches over <br />200 acres located just north of the confluence of the Santa Ana Freeway <br />and Costa Mesa Freeway.
