As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 151 Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />A-2001-156 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the Mayor and the Clerk <br />of the Council to execute an agreement with Siemens Building Technologies, <br />Inc. for maintenance and service for energy and heating ventilating and <br />air condi tioning control systems of City Hall, Main Library and Ross <br />Annex for a one year period, with a provision for two one-year extensions, <br />in an annual amount not to exceed $16,800. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Santa Ana City Hall, Main Library and Ross Annex which encompass a <br />total of 227,950 square feet, all have similar heating, ventilating and <br />air conditioning control systems designed and built by Siemens Building <br />Technologies. The City Hall and Main Library buildings have older systems <br />that have been maintained by Siemens Building Technologies, the sole <br />manufacturer of these systems, which has provided excellent service and <br />reliability. The systems in the Ross Annex were designed and built with <br />the newest Siemens Building Technology. <br /> <br />The proposed agreement with Siemens Building Technology will include <br />quarterly preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance to the systems. <br />Further, this agreement will include regular service Monday through Friday, <br />8AM to 5PM and on site response within the next business day. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds are available in the Building Maintenance Fund, Maintenance and <br />Repair Building and Grounds account (73-105-6261). <br /> <br />~~~) <br />Rod R.
