PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />James Kendrick invited the Council and residents to attend the Wilshire <br />Square Fall Festival and Tea and Home Tour to be held on October 13 <br />and 14. 2001 <br />Jan Vandersloot, Dr. Irwin Haydock, Greg Jewell, Dennis Baker, Dennis <br />Baker, Kris Hardeman, Eleazar Elizondo, Jim Miller and Victor Leipzig <br />addressed Council with concerns about the 301H waiver in the Orange <br />County Sanitation District's ocean discharge permit. <br />Dan Bruno stated that he represented the sanitation workers involved in <br />the labor dispute with Waste Management and other disposal companies, <br />and that the workers were requesting that all cities come together and <br />agree to pay additional fees for curb pickup <br />Florence Leach requested that any discussion relative to the Centerline <br />project be held in the Council Chambers <br />Muhammad Amin announced that he was working with the NAACP on <br />organizing Martin Luther King day. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 370 OCTOBER 1, 2001 <br />
