The Santa Ana Jail medical services plan calls for properly licensed medical personnel to: <br />• Identify, evaluate, treat and monitor inmate medical conditions. <br />• Pre-screen all incoming inmates to determine medical needs and ability to provide adequate <br />care. <br />• Review Inmate Medical Request forms and provide appropriate medical care. The jail strives <br />to provide response for inmate medical requests within 24 hours. <br />• Prescribe and dispense approved medications (tablet, liquid and syringe). <br />• Prescribe medical diets. <br />• Conduct physical examinations. <br />• Provide first aid and treat injuries. Apply, monitor and remove sutures. <br />• Provide weekly dental clinics. <br />• Provide biweekly psych clinics. <br />• Provide staff TB testing and Hepatitis vaccinations. <br />• Provide annual staff training required by law. <br />• Maintain detailed, accurate and confidential medical records, logs and files in accordance <br />with California Boazd of Corrections, Title 15. <br />• Review and approve jail medical policies and procedures. <br />• Present timely and accurate reports to the Jail Administrator. <br />3.0 PROPOSER QUALIFICATIONS <br />To be eligible to submit a proposal in response to this RFP a proposer must; <br />• Be organized for the purpose of providing contractual health care services. <br />• Possess no less than three (3) years experience providing correctional health caze services <br />with proven effectiveness. <br />• Possess prior experience providing health care services to correctional facilities of similar <br />size. <br />• Comply with all applicable California Boazd of Corrections, Title 15 standards. <br />8 <br />
