Also address integrity) <br />The Schenck House is architecturally signiircant as an intact example of the Colonial Revival style. According to the original building <br />permit, dated October 19, 1927, the house was constructed for Gertrude Schenck, who owned and occupied the home from 1927 <br />until the early 1930s. By 1937, the residence had been purchased by Mrs. Ella 8. LaPierre, who resided in the home for several <br />years. Ownership had shifted again by 1940, when Clarence A. Bales, an office supply salesperson, and his wife Mary bought the <br />property.
