REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />DECEMBER 3, 2007 <br />TITLE: <br />AMEND AGREEMENT WITH <br />ASSOCIATES, LLC FOR <br />SERVICES <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />DUCHESNE & ^ As Amended <br />CONSULTING ^ Ordinance on 15t Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CIT MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with DuChesne <br />& Associates, LLC to increase the compensation by an additional $5,000 for <br />a total aggregate amount not to exceed $30,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Police Department entered into an agreement with DuChesne & Associates, <br />LLC to provide an administrative and operational review and audit of the <br />department's promotability assessment process. DuChesne & Associates, LLC <br />has completed similar reviews and audits for the Police Department in the <br />past and is familiar with department operations. Staff recommends amending <br />the agreement to increase the compensation by an additional amount of <br />$5,000 to complete the analysis. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Police Department's Office of the Chief fund <br />(account no. 11-331-6291). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />.~ <br />~ ~L <br />Paul M.
