Further, that button will change the unit's status to one status if it is currently available or another if the unit is currently assigned. From the dispatcher's perspective, both of these statuses will appear the same (color and name) and the dispatcher will know to put that unit onto an existing emergency call. However, this will only change the unit's current status and not preempt them from their current activity. Comment: Existing feature. 16) Notification of Status Changes via MDT (CAD-4575) The system will display status changes done from the MDT. This will highlight to the dispatcher when changes such as going onscene, changing location, or becoming available occur. This feature will help the dispatcher to be aware of changes so they can take timely action as opposed to forcing them to watch the status grid for any changes. This is especially useful when dispatchers have calls pending and are waiting for units to become available to send them calls. Comment: Existing feature. 17) Custom Commands that use Internal CAD Functions The system will have the ability to create custom commands that perform internal CAD functions. For example, it will be able to create a custom command for a pedestrian stop that will function similarly to the TS command, only requiring a unit 10, command, and location, but will also accept a license plate and comments. Comment: Development of this item will be completed prior to system cutover and acceptance by SAPO. 18) Sorting the Pending Grid by Priority and Time The system will have the ability to display calls in the Pending Grid sorted first by priority and then by time pending. This sort order will be able to be permanently set so that the system will automatically use this order when users log on, without their needing to set it each time. Comment: Existing feature. 19) LoJack Command Line Query The system will allow dispatchers to run a LoJack 10 number from the command line. Comment: Custom query configuration.
