IQ/Mobile software runs under the Microsoft Windows 2000/XP operating systems.
IQ/Mobile has been designed to take advantage of the advanced technologies of the Windows
operating environment such as Object Linking and Embedding (OLE or Active X). For a mobile
computer with a touch sensitive screen, a pointing function is implemented with the touch screen
and function keys for other forms of display. The IQ/Mobile product provides icon tool bars to
simplify access to common functions. The icons are designed to meet specific user agency
requirements.

The architecture of the IQ/Mobile software consists of a kernel, an API to the User
Interface/Application package, data compression and encryption. The kernel is responsible for
managing all the processing required, such as OS calls, communications interfacing and
protocols. The IQ/Mobile Client can run on any PC with the Windows OS, including desktop
devices. The other major component of the IQ/Mobile software is the User Interface. This module
has been written with the Visual Basic programming language and is built specifically so that
menus and button layouts can be modified for each agency.

The User Interface consists, primarily of a display of icons, each icon representing a specific
function that is required of the mobile computer. A tool bar is established and is displayed across
the top of the display panel as a row of icons that is similar in layout to the tool bar that is
common to the Windows "look & feel" environment.

6.0 TRAINING

I
It is anticipated that the public safety computer transition will result in a significant level of re-training for
City personnel. Therefore, prospective vendors should make a concerted I effort to clearly address this
issue and provide complete information relating to training for their product line.

CHANGE ORDER #2 to Computer Aided Dispatch Purchase Agreement A-2004-229
EXHIBIT G-1 IQ/CAD System Updated Response Criteria

~
