<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-040 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110, <br />91-066 AND 96-095 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO <br />THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLANS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />B. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C. On July 1,1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- <br />066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />classifications of employment designated as unrepresented Executive <br />Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM); and on November 18, <br />1996, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 96-095, <br />establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />unrepresented classes of employment designated as Administrative <br />Management (AM). <br /> <br />D. With the adoption of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2008-2009, the <br />City Council authorized certain organizational, staffing, and compensation <br />changes which affect a number of classification titles in the City's Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plans. <br /> <br />E. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution Nos. 82-110, 91-066 and <br />96-095 to effect these changes. <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3 Assianment of Classes of Emplovment To Salarv <br />Rate Ranaes of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, be further amended by adding, in <br />alphabetical sequence, the following classifications to the salary rate ranges, on the <br />effective dates, as next hereinafter set out: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2008-040 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
