Contract Renewals for Multi-Jet and Turbine Water Meters <br />July 7, 2008 <br />Page 2 <br />On June 4, 2007 the City Council awarded contracts to Aqua-Metric Sales Co. <br />and Performance Meter Inc., for a one-year period with provision for one, <br />one-year renewal. The vendors have agreed to renew the contract; <br />Performance Meter has agreed to renew the contract without an increase in <br />pricing however, Aqua-Metric Sales Co. has requested a 4 percent price <br />increase due to the rising cost of raw materials. Staff verified that the <br />increase is consistent with the market and the vendor continues to offer a <br />competitive price. The vendors have performed satisfactorily during the <br />past contract period, and staff recommends the final renewal of the <br />contract. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Water Utility Water Quality & Measurement <br />Operating Materials & Supplies account (no. 64-578-6391). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />James '.
