Video Service Franchise Ordinance <br />August 18, 2008 <br />Page 2 <br />On March 1, 2007 the CPUC began accepting applications for a state <br />franchise from entities wishing to provide video service in California. <br />The City's first state franchisee, AT&T, obtained a state franchise in <br />March 2007 and commenced providing video services in Santa Ana in April <br />2007. Our current local franchisee, Time Warner, applied for a state <br />video franchise, which was approved on July 7, 2008.
