FY 2006 HOMELAND SBCURITV dRANT PROdRAM - DECfiMBER 2, 2005 <br />C.4. Trainine <br />FY 2006 UASI funds may be used to enhance the capabilities of State and local emergency <br />preparedness and response personnel through development of a State homeland security training <br />program. Allowable training-related costs include: <br />1. Establishment of support for, conduct of, and attendance at preparedness training <br />programs within existing training academies/institutions, universities, or junior colleges. <br />Preparedness training programs are defined as those programs related to prevention, <br />protection, response, and or recovery from natural, technical, or manmade catastrophic <br />incidents, supporting one or more Target Capabilities in alignment with national priorities <br />as stated in the Goal. Examples of such programs include but are not limited to CBItIVE <br />terrorism, critical infrastructure protection, cyber security, and citizen preparedness. <br />2. Overtime and backfill costs associated with attendance at G&T-sponsored and approved <br />training courses.
