According to the Santa Ana Fire Department, implementation of the proposed project would <br />not increase the demand for fire protection services over current levels of demand within the project area <br />and that under existing levels of manpower and equipment the Fire Department would be able to provide <br />an adequate level of service. Pursuant to the California Fire Code, the installation of an automatic fire <br />sprinklers system and fire alarm system are required. Compliance with the California Fire Code would <br />reduce any potential impacts to a level considered less than significant. <br />Police Protection: <br />Less than Significant <br />The Santa Ana Police Department would provide police protection services for the proposed project. <br />According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the church operation will not increase the demand for <br />police protection services over current levels of manpower and equipment. The Police Department would <br />be able to provide an adequate level of service. <br />Schools, Parks, Other Facilities: <br />No Impact <br />Implementation of the proposed project would not generate demand for additional school services above <br />the current conditions, nor would it generate demand for additional park services. No adverse impacts to <br />schools, parks or other public services would occur. <br />XIV. Recreation <br />A. Would the project increase the use of existing neighborhood and regional parks or other <br />recreational facilities such that substantial physical deterioration of the facility would <br />occur or be accelerated? <br />B. Does the project include recreational facilities or require the construction or expansion of <br />recreational facilities, which might have an adverse physical effect on the environment. <br />No Impact <br />Implementation of the proposed project would not generate additional demands on existing recreation <br />facilities or require the construction of new recreation facilities. No adverse impacts to recreation services <br />and facilities would occur. <br />XV. Transportation/Traffic <br />A. Cause an increase in traffic, which is substantial in relation to the existing traffic load and <br />capacity of the street system? <br />Less than Significant Impact <br />The implementation of the proposed project would increase vehicle trips in the project area in that the <br />project increases the seating capacity of the church sanctuary. According to projected trip generation <br />prepared by the City of Santa Ana Traffic Division, an additional 396 trips may be anticipated from the <br />new sanctuary. As the church operates primarily on Sundays, no impacts are expected to the street <br />system. Therefore, no mitigation measures are required. <br />75C-104 11 <br />
