Appendix C <br />Santa Ana Emergency ~~erations Klan <br />OPERATIONS: WATER UNIT <br />PRIMARY: Public Works Manager <br />ALTERNATE: Public Works Supervisor <br />SUPERVISOR: Public Works Branch <br />Coordinator GENERAL DUTIES: <br />• Assess impact of incident based on Local Health Department, Department of <br />Health Services (DHS) District Office of Drinking Water, and Utility emergency <br />situation reports and other available information. <br />• Identify need for and prioritize locations for water distribution (include needs <br />of critical facilities). <br />• Provide for water quality assurance. <br />• Evaluate, plan and implement actions to acquire and distribute alternative <br />potable water. <br />• Determine the need to staff a water task group and secure resources through <br />the Logistics Section. <br />^ If situation requires resources beyond the capability of the EOC, notify <br />the Orange County Operational Area EOC via (Internet); <br />^ Provide water utilities in the affected area and the Orange County <br />Operational Area EOC with situation status and information related to <br />actions to provide alternative water supply; and <br />^ Provide information to media as appropriate. <br />YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: <br />Provide alternate source(s) of potable water to affected population. <br />OPERATIONS -- 58 <br />A=12~ <br />
