City Place Sky Lofts Final Environmental Impact Report Findings <br />4.2.4 GEOLOGY AND SOILS IMPACTS RELATED TO GEOTECHNICAL <br />CONDITIONS <br />4.2.4.1 Potentially Significant Adverse Impacts Related to Geotechnical Conditions <br />As discussed in Section 4.5 (Geology and Soils) of the EIR, implementation of the City Place Sky Lofts <br />project could result in significant adverse impacts related to geotechnical conditions. In addition, results of <br />the settlement analyses indicated that the potential exists for significant differential settlement between <br />the tower and town home portions of the proposed project. <br />4.2.4.2 Finding Related to Geotechnical Conditions <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which avoid or substantially <br />lessen the significant environmental effect as identified in the Final EIR. <br />4.2.4.3 Facts in Support ofthe Finding Related to Geotechnical Conditions <br />With implementation of mitigation measures G-1 and G-2, provided below, the potential for significant <br />adverse impacts related to geotechnical conditions would be less than significant. <br />G-1 Prior to issuance of a gading permit, a Final geotechnical report that addresses site- <br />specific geotechnical considerations will be submitted to the City Engineer for approval. <br />G-2 Recommendations for grading/earthwork, surface, and subsurface drainage, temporary <br />and/or permanent dewatering, foundations, pavement structural sections, seismic design, <br />and other pertinent, geotechnical design considerations will be formulated and will be <br />included in the grading and building plans for the proposed project. <br />4.2.4.4 Level of Significance of Impacts Related to Geotechnical Conditions <br />The adverse impacts of the City Place Sky Lofts project related to geotechnical conditions will be <br />mitigated to below a level of significance with implementation of mitigation measures G-I and G-2. <br />4.2.5 GEOLOGY AND SOILS IMPACTS RELATED TO EROSION AND LOSS OF <br />TOPSOIL <br />4.2.5.1 Potentially Significant Adverse Impacts Related to Erosion and Loss of Topsoil <br />As discussed in Section 4.5 (Geology and Soils) of the EIR, implementation of the City Place Sky Lofts <br />project could result in significant adverse impacts related to erosion and loss oftopsoil. <br />4.2.5.2 Finding Related to Erosion and Loss of Topsoil <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which avoid or substantially <br />lessen the significant environmental effect as identified in the Final EIR. <br />4.2.5.3 Facts in Support ofthe Finding Related to Erosion and Loss of Topsoil <br />With implementation of mitigation measure W-3, provided below, the potential for significant adverse <br />impacts related to erosion and loss of topsoil would be less than significant. <br />F: IPRUJ-ENV1City Place Sky LoftslFinal EIRIFindings-SOCIFindings-SOC.doc Page 14 <br />January 23, 2009 <br />75A-124 <br />
