located complies with the off-street parking and open space requirements of the SAMC. <br />Therefore, the existing less than significant population, housing and employment impacts would <br />not result in new or different impacts nor would it increase unplanned growth and does not <br />trigger new population and housing impacts requiring the preparation of a subsequent or <br />supplemental EIR. <br />5.10 PUBLIC SERVICES <br />This section analyzes the effects to public services and recreational and park facilities from <br />implementing the proposed zoning code regulations. <br />Would the project: <br />a. Result in substantial adverse physical impacts associated with the provision of new or <br />physically altered governmental facilities, or the need for new or physically altered <br />governmental facilities, the construction of which could cause significant environmental <br />impacts, in order to maintain acceptable service ratios, response times or other <br />performance objectives for fire protection? <br />b. Result in substantial adverse physical impacts associated with the provision of new or <br />physically altered governmental facilities, or the need for new or physically altered <br />governmental facilities, the construction of which could cause significant environmental <br />impacts, in order to maintain acceptable service ratios, response times or other <br />performance objectives for police protection? <br />c. Result in substantial adverse physical impacts associated with the provision of new or <br />physically altered governmental facilities, or the need for new or physically altered <br />governmental facilities, the construction of which could cause significant environmental <br />impacts, in order to maintain acceptable service ratios, response times or other <br />performance objectives for schools? <br />d. Result in substantial adverse physical impacts associated with the provision of new or <br />physically altered governmental facilities, or the need for new or physically altered <br />governmental facilities, the construction of which could cause significant environmental <br />impacts, in order to maintain acceptable service ratios, response times or other <br />performance objectives for library services? <br />e. Result in substantial adverse physical impacts associated with the provision of new or <br />physically altered governmental facilities, or the need for new or physically altered <br />governmental facilities, the construction of which could cause significant environmental <br />impacts, in order to maintain acceptable service ratios, response times or other <br />performance objectives for park services? <br />TZC EIR Conclusions <br />Construction of new projects pursuant to the Transit Zoning Code (SD 84A and SD 8413) <br />would increase the demand for fire protection services, but it would not require the <br />construction of new or physically altered facilities to accommodate the increased <br />demand or maintain acceptable response times. (Impact 4.10-1: Less Than Significant <br />with mitigation) <br />• Operation of the proposed project would increase the demand for police services, <br />thereby requiring additional staffing, although it would not require the construction of <br />new or physically altered facilities or personnel to accommodate the increased demand. <br />(Impact 4.10-2: Less Than Significant with mitigation) <br />Construction of new residential units within the project area would generate new <br />students that could require the addition of new classroom facilities, thereby requiring <br />January 2025 43 Environmental Analysis <br />
