Consultant may submit a revised fee schedule at the beginning of the calendar year for <br />any adjustments to the hourly rates. The City must approve the revised hourly rates in <br />writing prior to the revised rates taking effect. The consultant may be required to submit <br />supporting back-up documentation for the revised fee schedule changes. <br />-rotal cost for the contract shall not exceed $300,000. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND COMMENTS <br />The contents under this heading are left to the discretion of the consultant. Material shall be pertinent to <br />the proposal, but not otherwise requested in the RFP. <br />CRITERIA FOR SELECTION <br />An evaluation committee appointed by the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency will <br />review the proposals. The criteria for evaluating the proposals submitted will take the following <br />items into consideration: <br />• Experience and reputation of the firm including a verification of data and references. <br />• Experience and credentials of key personnel assigned to the project. <br />• Understanding of project objectives and work tasks as evidenced in the written narratives <br />and oral interview. <br />• Adherence to Schedule: Demonstrate that the present workload of the firm and the <br />availability of staff for the project shall enable staying on schedule. <br />• Consultant's past record of performance in similar projects related to control of costs, <br />quality of work and meeting schedules. <br />• Familiarity with City design and construction specifications and procedures. <br />• The City's prior experience with the consultant. <br />• Familiarity with the geographical area of the project. <br />• Fee (separate sealed envelope). <br />The ultimate consultant selections shall be based upon both technical merit and cost competitiveness. <br />THE CITY'S AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAM <br />the City has an affirmative action program. The purpose of the affirmative action program is to encourage <br />certified minority business enterprises and women business enterprises. All submitting firms must have <br />established affirmative action programs approvable by the City. The attached "Certification of Non - <br />Discrimination by Contractors" shall be completed by each submitting firm and included in the proposal <br />(Attachment `B"). <br />
