8. Outline of On-the-Job Training Plan and Method of Assessment: <br />ELEMENTS OF TRAINING HOURS OF <br /> TRAINING <br />Trainee will be taught safety and security procedures, including knowledge of <br />relevant equipment and strategies to promote safe operations. Training in <br />production and warehouse inventory will be provided, including but not limited to: 120 hrs <br />- Understanding the designs and uses of a variety of machines and tools involved <br />in elevator installation. <br />- Strategies to handle, load and unload elevator parts with safety. <br />- Receive, store and equipments and materials in an accessible manner. <br />- Maintain equipments and determine proper storage methods based on the <br />physical capabilities of the company. <br />- Keep records on the use and/or damaged items. <br />Measurement Method: Q & A, task observation and inspection. Goal is to achieve rate of <br />proficiency within first three weeks. <br />Training in elevator installation, inspection and adjustment will be provided, <br /> <br />including but not limited to: 400 hrs <br />- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and models to determine layout of <br />system components and to select installation equipment. <br />- Perform different elevator installation aspects, including but not limited to <br />installation sling, platform, machine room, cab, interlocks, etc. <br />- Bend conduit, pull and connect wires to specific components. <br />- Adjust safety controls, interlocks and other components such as valves, ratchets, <br />and brake linings. <br />Measurement Method: Q & A, task observation and inspection. Goal is to achieve rate of <br />proficiency within subsequent ten weeks. <br />Trainee will be taught how to check and inspect elevator to secure safety. Training <br />will be provided, including but not limited to: <br />- Follow safety regulations and established building codes to verify conformance <br />to standards. <br />- Utilize test equipment to locate malfunctions in brakes, motors, switches and 530 hrs <br />signal and control systems. <br />- Test newly installed equipment and control panel hookups to ensure that <br />equipment will operate properly. <br />- Follow instruction and work effectively with team members to accomplish <br />goals and ensure high quality standards. <br />Measurement Method: Q & A, task observation and inspection. Goal is to achieve rate of <br />proficiency within subsequent thirteen weeks. <br />RATING LEVELS: <br />Measurement method: how will it be determined if OJT participant acquired the skill? Q&A, observation, product review/inspection, <br />etc. <br />PROFICIENT MODERATE MARGINAL <br />
