<br /> <br />Orange County 54 25-29 Regional AFH <br /> <br />• In Huntington Beach, the map shows publicly supported housing units located <br />in the center of the city. Local data identify affordable housing projects <br />distributed broadly across the city. <br />• In Irvine, the high POC segregation areas north of I-405 overlap with the location <br />of publicly supported housing units. In other parts of the city where there is high <br />voucher use and multiple publicly supported housing developments, there is no <br />segregation data available. <br />• In La Habra, publicly supported housing units are located in the city’s center and <br />north neighborhoods, which are all low-medium or high POC segregation areas. <br />• In Laguna Niguel, the map shows one public supported housing development <br />(near the intersection of Pacific Park Drive and La Paz Road ) and a small <br />concentration of voucher use in northwest part of city, which is a low-medium <br />concentration area. City staff report that another development in the western part <br />of the City also receives vouchers. <br />• In Lake Forest, there are publicly supported housing units in the northwest, near <br />the intersection of SR-241 and Alton Parkway. There are a smaller number of units <br />in the south of the city, along El Toro Road. <br />• In Mission Viejo, the map shows two publicly supported housing developments <br />in the southern part of the city. One of these developments, in the southeast, <br />aligns with a low-medium concentration area. City staff report that there are <br />additional publicly supported housing developments that are not reflected in the <br />HUD-provided data. <br />• In Newport Beach, there are two publicly supported housing developments (one <br />east and one west of Newport Center), both of which are in high White <br />segregation areas. <br />• In Orange, all publicly supported housing units and households with vouchers <br />are located to the west and south of Villa Park (which are low-medium <br />segregation areas). There are no units or vouchers in use to the east of Villa Park, <br />where it is a high White segregation area. The largest publicly supported housing <br />development (biggest blue dot) is in the integrated area to the south of Villa Park, <br />running south along Santiago Creek and east along the northside of Chapman <br />Avenue towards El Modena. <br />• In Rancho Santa Margarita, there are no publicly supported housing units. There are <br />some vouchers in use in the northeast part of the city that is a low-medium <br />concentration area <br />• In San Clemente, there is a cluster of publicly supported housing units in the low- <br />medium concentration area north and east of Max Berg Plaza Park. <br />• In Santa Ana, a significant number of publicly supported housing units are located <br />downtown and southeast of downtown, both of which are high POC segregation <br />areas.
