<br /> <br />Orange County 173 25-29 Regional AFH <br /> <br />residential use limitations to assist in the development of <br />housing <br />3. Make neighborhood improvements to increase access to opportunity, <br />and preserve housing affordability, through the following actions: <br /> <br />a. Pursue the development of an amnesty program for unpermitted <br />residential units. <br />By 2023 <br />b. Laguna Canyon Road (SR-133) Improvements: place overhead <br />utilities underground; active transportation improvements; <br />reconstruct drainage channel; add dam to control storm flows. <br />By end of 2025 <br />c. Coast Highway ADA South Improvements (Moss Street to Fifth <br />Avenue): add new sidewalks; widen existing sidewalk; <br />reconstruct existing curb ramps and driveways to meet current <br />ADA standards; add audible pedestrian crossing systems; repair, <br />resurface, and restripe roadway. <br />By end of 2025 <br />d. Laguna Canyon Road Median Landscaping: Replant the <br />landscaped median along Laguna Canyon Road between Forest <br />Avenue and east of Canyon Acres Drive. <br />2023-2024 <br />e. Continue to provide Senior Housing Repair program. Ongoing <br />f. Monitor implementation of the Short- Term Lodging Ordinance. <br />Restrictions to short-term lodging are intended to help preserve <br />rental housing stock by limiting their use for vacation rental <br />purposes. <br />Annually <br />g. Continue to support aging in place through amortization and <br />abatement agreements which allow residents to remain on the <br />property under specified conditions to improve the property. <br />Ongoing <br />h. Where safety concerns can be addressed, allow residents to <br />remain in unpermitted spaces while they are adapted to meet <br />work/live code If funding is available, develop incentives and <br />funding programs to assist building owners and tenants to make <br />the building modifications necessary to conform with work/live <br />ordinances. <br />By 2023 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT 6
