Flores, Dora
From: Raven Rodriguez <
Sent: Monday, June 16, 2025 9:17 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Public Comment for City Council Meeting 6/17/25
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
My previous email had a mistake in the date. This is the correct one.
My name is Raven Rodriguez, I grew up in Santa Ana, it is my heart, and for this upcoming city council
meeting, I would like to make a comment.
I am emailing to state my condemnation of Mayor Amezcua's words of passivity for her constituents as well as
words of praise for the SAPD. The SAPD have been instigating towards and brutalizing the citizens of Santa
Ana and those from neighboring cities who have shown up to support them with tear gas and rubber bullets. The
people of Santa Ana are terrified for their lives because of ICE terrorism being carried out on our front lawns.
They are getting injured for attempting to protest the kidnapping of their neighbors. Mayor Amezcua has
distanced herself from her constituents in an attempt to appease law enforcement, turning her back on her
people when we need her. The government is silencing our senators, calling for war against our governor. I am
calling on Mayor Amezcua to stop hiding. Stop assisting in the overpolicing of the people brave enough to love
their city so much that they'd fight for it.
Thank you.
