Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Hello Council Members,
I've been a Santa Ana homeowner on King Street since September 2013, and I would like to request some
assistance with a serious safety issue.
The issue in question is the seriously inadequate speed bumps on our street. At times, some individuals
speed up and down our street, going in the range of what appears to be 50 — 60 MPH or more, and they
sail over the bumps without slowing down whatsoever. This has been an issue since we first moved to our
home, and I was hoping the city would recognize the problems and fix them. Well, all these years later, it
remains the same, and now I'm asking for assistance. Many of us back out of our driveways and are concerned
that a serious accident will happen or one of our kids will be hit by one of these careless and disrespectful
drivers.
Please advise if this email will be sufficient for the city to initiate action to address the problem, or if I need to
attend a Council meeting or get a petition. I have no doubt I can get many neighbors to sign it.
We would like to have our street respected and safe for all who live here.
Thank you for your anticipated assistance with this matter.
Mark LeBlanc

Santa Ana, CA 92706
