EXHIBIT 1 <br /> 2025-26 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) <br /> Youth Employment Program <br /> 2. Proposed Program: (1 page max) <br /> A. Provide an overview of the program's main objectives. <br /> The WIOA program at OCCTAC is an extension of our current educational services provided to <br /> older youth to empower and provide life-changing opportunities for all youth. OCCTAC has <br /> been working with WIOA participants since 2005. The program will continue to provide 13 out <br /> of 14 WIOA elements: educational services,job training, paid work experience, adult <br /> mentoring, literacy & math tutoring, career & educational counseling, occupational skills <br /> training and education, supportive services, certificate programs, leadership opportunities, <br /> comprehensive counseling, financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills training, labor market <br /> information, and activities to help youth prepare for post-secondary education and follow-up <br /> services. OCCTAC staff will refer participants to alternative secondary school services with <br /> College and Career Preparatory Academy(CCPA) or Santa Ana College School of Continuing <br /> Education. <br /> The program will take place primarily at our community-based center in Santa Ana. Participants <br /> will engage in a variety of educational and job training activities, including classroom and <br /> workshop instruction. All participants will be required to meet individually with key staff, <br /> participate in daily and weekly educational trainings, and weekly workshops. In addition, WIOA <br /> participants will also engage in weekly "hands-on" work experience and job training <br /> opportunities at our agency and other offsite job trainings in the community. Please see below <br /> Table 1 for an overview of the program timeline for the entire year. <br /> TABLE 1— Program Timeline from July 2025—June 30, 2026 <br /> Program Timeline Program Activities&Training <br /> Month 1-2 • Orientation of program and services with Case Manager <br /> Objectives: • Employability/Job Skills assessment with Case manager <br /> Program Overview, • Basic Skills/Academic levels assessment with Literacy and Numeracy tutor <br /> Assessments, • Career interest assessment and survey with Career Counselor <br /> Participant Goals . Determine Employment and Academic goals <br /> • Initiate bi-monthly meetings with Case Manager to discuss goals and service <br /> needs of participants <br /> Months 3-8 • Initiate paid work experience <br /> Objectives: • Initiate weekly Leadership/Job/Life skills workshops <br /> Educational Guidance, • Initiate weekly tutoring of Literacy and/or Numeracy skills <br /> Tutoring, Vocational Training, . Continue bi-monthly meetings with Case Manager to discuss progress <br /> Job Training, Workshops& . Continue monthly meetings with Career Counselor for academic guidance <br /> Work Experience • Continue monthly support group with other WIOA participants and staff <br /> Month 9-12 • Continue bi-monthly meetings with case manager to discuss program goals, <br /> Objectives: and for intense employability skills and job search training <br /> Employability/Job Skills • Continue tutoring, if necessary <br /> &Job Search • Continue monthly life skills training <br /> • Continue weekly workshops with WIOA participants and staff <br /> B.
