OC CHILDREN ' S <br /> WEKAPEUTIC ARTS <br /> 2215 N Broadway • Santa Ana,CA 92706 • 714.547.5468 • Fax 714.564.9690 •www.occtac.ora <br /> Work Experience Policy <br /> WIOA Program 2025 — 2026 <br /> Purpose: <br /> To establish guidelines for the WEX youth paid work experience <br /> placements while enrolled in OCCTAC's Youth Employment Program <br /> funded through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). <br /> Eligibility & Customer Profile: <br /> WEX youth participating in work experience must have unexpired <br /> right to work documents and qualify for the youth employment <br /> program by meeting the requirements as outlined in the Youth <br /> Program Eligibility and Application Policy. WEX youth will make a <br /> plan with case manager in order to assess the developmental needs <br /> and place youth in worksite that best fits the WEX youth's experience <br /> and interests. <br /> Depending on the program that they work for, WEX youth will be <br /> working with children age 6 months to adults 65+ if their worksite is <br /> OC Children's Therapeutic Art's Center. Customer profile will vary if <br /> WEX youth are placed off-site. <br /> General Information: <br /> Lunch and Breaks: WEX youth must take a % hour unpaid break after <br /> no more than 5 hours of work. They are also entitled to a paid 10- <br /> minute rest period every 4 hours. <br /> Unable to attend worksite: WEX youth must notify the worksite <br /> supervisor and case manager a minimum of two hours before his/her <br /> shift begins if unable to report to work. <br /> W-2: To be available for all youths that participated in WEX by <br /> January 31 for the hours completed the year before.
