2025-26 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC} <br />Youth Employment Program <br />TABLE 5: Additional Job Training Programs for WIOA Youth mentored by NON-WIOA staff <br />PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Days/Times <br />Early Start Program The Early Start program is and early intervention program Mondays & Tuesdays <br />that integrates very young children (6 months to 3 years of 8:30 am -11:30 am <br />age) with and without special in a natural community Fridays <br />environment with their parents. It aims at enhancing 8:30 am -10:30 am <br />students' cognitive, language, motor and social <br />development. <br />Pre-Kinder Arts The Pre-Kinder Arts program is a bilingual school readiness Wednesdays & <br />Program program that serves children ages 3-4 years old. The Thursdays <br />parents and children work together in a creative and 8:30 am -11:30 am <br />nurturing environment by engaging in music, art, literacy, Fridays <br />and parenting classes to prepare children for school. 10:30 -12:30 pm <br />After School Arts The ASA for Life program provides artistic training in the Monday -Friday <br />Program fields of Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Musical Theatre, and 3:30 pm -8:00 pm <br />Technology training to at-risk youth, and children with and Saturdays <br />disabilities in the community. 9:00 am -4:00 pm <br />Therapeutic Arts This program serves children and youth with disabilities of Monday -Friday <br />Program all ages and special needs, including: learning disability, 3:30 pm -8:00 pm <br />health impairments, physical disability, developmental Saturdays <br />disabilities and others. 9:00 am -4:00 pm <br />Learning Academy & This program provides homework support and tutoring to Monday - Friday <br />Tutoring Program students (ages 5 -16 yrs.) in Language Arts (reading and 4:00 -8:00 pm <br />writing), math, and other academic subjects. Saturdays <br />9:00 am -5:00 pm <br />OCCTAC This program provides outreach, prevention, referrals and Monday -Friday <br />Family Wellness engagement with individuals at-risk of mental health 8:00 am -8:00 pm <br />Program problems. Other support services include parenting, and weekends <br />counseling, and support groups. <br />Senior Socialization This program provides early intervention and socialization Monday -Saturdays <br />Program activities to older adults at-risk of mental health problems. 8:00am -4:00pm <br />Services are provided at OCCTAC and various Senior Centers <br />in Santa Ana. <br />B.Special consideration will be given to organizations that can prepare youth for targeted <br />in-demand industries: 1. Manufacturing, 2.lnformation Technology, 3. Healthcare, 4. <br />Hospitality/entertainment. OCCTAC's Youth employment program prepares youth in 3 of <br />the 4 targeted in-demand indus tries identified. 1) Healthcare, 2) Technology and 3) <br />Hospitality/Entertainment. In addition, we have an excellent community partner (Rancho <br />Santiago Community College -See letter of commitment), that will hire our Youth <br />Employment Program participants as "Interns" and then as Employees! The Executive <br />Director has been working closely with RSCC district staff to create a "Pathway from Non­ <br />Credit to Credit Courses" for our YEP participants so they can get their degrees, State <br />Certificates and also get hired by RSCC to become Instructional Assistants for their Child <br />Development Centers throughout Orange County!
