EXHIBIT 1 <br />The amounts of unreimbursed reasonable attendant care expenses and childcare expenses <br />deducted from a family's annual income, except for when a family is approved for a childcare <br />expense hardship exemption, must still be capped by the amount earned by any family member <br />who is enabled to work as a result of the expense. PHAs are therefore required to obtain third - <br />party verification of the applicable employment income and cap the respective expense <br />deductions accordingly. <br />SAHA Policy <br />SAHA will not accept verification from other federal assistance programs.
