EXHIBIT 1 <br />Technological abuse. An act or pattern of behavior that occurs within domestic violence, dating <br />violence, sexual assault, or stalking and is intended to harm, threaten, intimidate, control, <br />stalk, harass, impersonate, exploit, extort, or monitor another person, except as otherwise <br />permitted by law, that occurs using any form of technology, including but not limited to: <br />- Internet enabled devices <br />- Online spaces and platforms <br />- Computers <br />- Mobile devices <br />- Cameras and imaging programs <br />- Apps <br />- Location tracking devices <br />- Communication technologies <br />- Any other emergency technologies <br />Tenancy addendum. For the housing choice voucher program, the lease language required by <br />HUD in the lease between the tenant and the owner. <br />Tenant. The person or persons (other than a live-in aide) who executes the lease as lessee of the <br />dwelling unit. <br />Tenant paid utilities. Utilities and services that are not included in the rent to owner and are the <br />responsibility of the assisted family, regardless of whether the payment goes to the utility <br />company or the owner. The utilities and services are those necessary in the locality to provide <br />housing that complies with HQS. The utilities and services may also include those required <br />by HUD through a Federal Register notice after providing opportunity for public comment. <br />Tenant rent to owner. See family rent to owner. <br />Term of lease. The amount of time a tenant agrees in writing to live in a dwelling unit. <br />Total tenant payment (TTP). The total amount the HUD rent formula requires the tenant to pay <br />toward rent and utilities. <br />Unearned income. Any annual income, as calculated under 24 CFR 5.609, that is not earned <br />income. <br />Unit. Under NSPIRE, a unit (or "dwelling unit") of HUD housing refers to the interior <br />components of an individual unit. Examples of components included in the interior of a unit <br />may include the balcony, bathroom, call -for -aid (if applicable), carbon monoxide devices, <br />ceiling, doors, electrical systems, enclosed patio, floors, HVAC (where individual units are <br />provided), kitchen, lighting, outlets, smoke detectors, stairs, switches, walls, water heater, <br />and windows. <br />Utilities. Water, electricity, gas, other heating, refrigeration, cooking fuels, trash collection, and <br />sewage services.
