2025-26 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAQ <br /> Youth Employment Program <br /> E. Specify how the targeted youth populations (out-of-school,youth with disabilities, <br /> foster/emancipated, probation, homeless)will be recruited. As mentioned previously, <br /> OCCTAC has excellent community partnerships that will help us fulfill our enrollment goals and <br /> targeted youth populations. See below a summary of youth populations and partners. <br /> 1. Out of School Youth: OCCTAC has had a strong partnership with the Santa Ana College, <br /> Centennial Education Center for the past 20 years. We have received many referrals from <br /> SAC for out of school youth, as well as engage our youth in their State Certificate programs. <br /> As seen in Table 2, OCCTAC has consistently served at least 80% of out of school youth in the <br /> program, throughout the years.See letter of support included in this proposal. <br /> 2. Youth with Disabilities: OCCTAC has had a strong partnership with the Santa Ana Unified <br /> School District, Transition Partnership Program (TPP) during the past 20 years, in order to <br /> serve youth with disabilities. As seen in Table 2, OCCTAC has exceeded the 10% minimum <br /> and has served consistently over 50%of youth with disabilities! We are grateful to our key <br /> community partner SAUSD TPP program staff for all of their referrals and support! Also, in <br /> the past 5 years, OCCTAC has a new contract with the Regional Center of Orange County and <br /> has been receiving referrals to serve young adults with disabilities. See letter of support. <br /> 3. Foster/Emancipated Youth: OCCTAC will continue to collaborate with the County of Orange, <br /> Social Services, to continue to serve foster/emancipated youth. OCCTAC has been a partner <br /> with the County since 2007. We are looking forward to continuing this partnership, and <br /> serve more foster/emancipated youth in Orange County this year! See letter of support. <br /> 4. Youth on Probation: As stated previously, OCCTAC has been in preliminary conversations <br /> with the ED at Project Kinship (Steven Kim) on the possibility of collaborating and getting <br /> referrals from their program for our WIOA program. Project Kinship operates in the same <br /> building as OCCTAC (2215 N. Broadway—second floor) where OCCTAC agency is located! <br /> The mission of Project Kinship is to provide support and training to lives impacted by <br /> incarceration, gangs, and violence through hope, healing, and transformation. OCCTAC will <br /> partner with PK to ensure at least 10%or this population in our program. <br /> S. Homeless Youth: OCCTAC will continue to collaborate with various community agencies, <br /> including the WISE Place, an organization that focuses primarily on serving homeless women <br /> (youth and adults). <br /> In addition to our excellent community partnerships, OCCTAC will continue to conduct <br /> community outreach, community presentations, and participate at various community events <br /> throughout the year to promote our programs and inform the youth in the Santa Ana <br /> community about this wonderful WIOA Youth Employment program at OCCTAC.
