SuandUp <br /> For kids <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> PLACEMENT AND MATCHING <br /> • Worksite Selection: Career Planners will work with employers and community partners <br /> to identify suitable work experience opportunities that match the participant's career <br /> interests and goals. Employers must meet specific criteria related to the quality of the <br /> work environment, safety standards, and ability to provide a meaningful experience. <br /> • Participant Placement: Career Planners will assess the youth's interests, skills, and <br /> career goals to match them with the most appropriate work experience opportunities. This <br /> matching process ensures that participants have the best chance of success in their work <br /> experience. <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING <br /> • Tracking and Documentation: Career Planners will maintain regular communication <br /> with the youth participant, worksite supervisor, and employer to ensure the experience is <br /> progressing as planned. Documentation will be kept on file, including work experience <br /> agreements,job descriptions, and progress reports. <br /> • Reports: Career Planners will provide regular updates on youth progress in work <br /> experience to their supervisor and management. A final report will be generated at the <br /> completion of the work experience, summarizing the participant's performance and skills <br /> gained. <br /> WORKEAPER.IENCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYERS <br /> • Employers must meet certain criteria to participate in the W10A Youth Program. These <br /> criteria include providing a safe work environment, offering adequate supervision and <br /> mentorship, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and being committed to the <br /> development of youth. <br />
