Nursing Assistant Training Program <br /> LGL College does not assume responsibility for payment of health services when the <br /> student is injured or ill while in the campus or at the clinical facility. In the event a student <br /> seeks health services for any reason, he/she must provide for his/her own health care <br /> needs. The student acknowledges that this policy is a release of liability and a contract <br /> between the student and LGL College, and/or its affiliated organizations, administration, <br /> instruci ......... <br /> Responsibilities <br /> Responsibilities to Students <br /> The s udent will be given: <br /> 1. Instruction in the classroom setting. <br /> 2. Access to current nursing references and audiovisual materials in the classroom <br /> setting and online. <br /> 3. Clinical experiences supervised by qualified faculty in approved health care <br /> facilities. <br /> 4. Individual counseling and referrals as needs arise. <br /> 5. A skills lab equipped for demonstration, supervised practice, and evaluation c f skill <br /> performance. <br /> The f tculty will: <br /> 1. Provide regular evaluations of student progress and performance on a regular and <br /> timely basis. <br /> 2. Meet with the student to review final performance and provide every student Nith a <br /> written final clinical evaluation. <br /> 3. Encourage development of effective learning and study habits. <br /> 4. Listen to grievances and suggestions and seek constructive solutions to probit ms. <br /> 5. Explain graded papers to students on a regular and timely basis. <br /> 6. Communicate any changes in scheduling to the student. <br /> 7. Begin and end classes and clinical on time. <br /> Responsibilities of Students <br /> The s Went is expected to; <br /> 1. Arrive at appointments punctually or arrange a postponement. <br /> 2. Promptly notify the faculty of unforeseen circumstances that affect attendane and <br /> performance. <br /> 3. Take initiative in meeting deadlines and completing assignments. <br /> 4. Take responsibility for learning (i.e. preparing for classes, clinical assignmen s, and <br /> skill validations). <br /> 5. Complete and submit clinical paperwork requirements within the specified <br /> timeframe. <br /> 6. <br /> 7. Adhere to LGL College and clinical agency policies. <br /> S. Prepare for active participation in class, lab, and clinical. <br /> 9. Treat faculty, fellow students, and all school staff with respect. <br /> 10.
