Approve an amendment to the Bristol-Tolliver Street Urban Greening Project <br />Cost Analysis to add $115,000 in Residential Development District 4 - Acquisition <br />and Development funds, and $176,000 in Community Development Block Grant <br />funds for a new total construction delivery cost of $4,872,808. <br />2. Approve a Change Order to add $115,000 to an existing construction contract <br />with Legion Contractors, Inc., for the construction of the basketball court at the <br />Bristol-Tolliver Street Urban Greening Project. <br />GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: Yes <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Public Works Agency is responsible for the administration and oversight of all <br />Capital Improvement projects in the City. The Bristol-Tolliver Street Urban Greening <br />Project is currently under construction located on the corner of Bristol Street and Tolliver <br />Street. This Project includes play equipment and adult fitness equipment with shade <br />structures, pedestrian pathways, lighting, picnic areas, educational signage, drought <br />tolerant landscaping, and a stormwater capture and reuse system for the park’s <br />irrigation. In the Project’s final construction documents, a basketball court was included <br />as a bid alternate in the amount of $235,000 in anticipation of future funding to be <br />approved and allocated by the City Council. For that reason, the award of the <br />construction contract in March 2025 excluded the bid alternate scope of work. During <br />the Fiscal Year 2025-26 (FY 25-26) budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) <br />adoption process, City Council allocated $115,000 from Park Acquisition and <br />Development funds (non-federal funds) and $176,000 from Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) funds (federal funds) for a total of $291,000 for the addition of a
