Bush Street, Santa Ana <br />August 30, 2024 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />CURRENT PROGRAM <br />The subject daycare center provides a day-time caring program to medically <br />qualified adults in need of temporary daily assistance. The center is open Monday <br />through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM and one 4-hour daycare program is provided <br />daily between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM. With a rolling arrival time, the program <br />allows each participant to stay four hours at the facility. <br />In addition to standard adult daycare services, the subject center arranges medical <br />clinics and examinations for the participants, conveniently located in the medical <br />offices on the second floor. These supportive services are provided on appointment <br />basis with physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, and registered <br />dietician. <br />The center currently owns and operates a fleet of six (6) passenger vans to provide <br />shuttle services for all participants to and from their homes. The shuttle vans are <br />driven by the staff with a work partner to assist loading activities. The drivers would <br />drive the vans home at the end of each day after dropping off all participants and <br />work partners. All shuttle routes and schedules are predetermined to ensure rolling <br />arrivals. <br />PROPOSED PROGRAM <br />The subject center has been initially permitted to accommodate 40 participants with <br />up to 40 full-time staff. Current operations feature 20 full-time staff to care for 40 <br />participants. The subject center is seeking city’s approval to allow a maximum of <br />200 participants within the same existing facilities. The fleet of company-owned <br />shuttle vans will continue serving transportation needs for all participants. For the <br />proposed program, the subject center anticipates adding three (3) staff to a total of <br />23 full-time staff.
