<br />RESOURCES COMMISSION
<br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the
<br />public to participate in the decision-
<br />making process. We encourage you to
<br />contact us prior to the Public Hearing if
<br />you have any questions.
<br />Historic Resources Commission
<br />Action: The Historic Resources
<br />Commission will hold a Public Hearing to
<br />receive public testimony, and will take
<br />action on the item described below. Their
<br />decision is final unless appealed to the
<br />City Council within 10 days of the decision
<br />by any interested party or group.

<br />located within the Single Family
<br />Residential (R1) zoning district.
<br />Project Applicant:Matthew and Nicole
<br />Kantelis (Property Owners)
<br />Project Description:The applicant is
<br />requesting approval of Historic Exterior
<br />Modification Application (HEMA) No.
<br />2024-01 for a property listed as a “Key” on
<br />the Santa Ana register, known as the
<br />Lacy-Murray House. Scope includes a
<br />new 456-square-foot family and laundry
<br />room addition, 159-square-foot master
<br />bedroom expansion, and 1,147-square-
<br />foot interior remodel to include kitchen,
<br />master bathroom and closet, bedroom
<br />reconfiguration, and bathrooms. The
<br />project also includes changing one (1)
<br />fixed wood window at the south facade to
<br />an operable window for egress purposes.
<br />Environmental Impact:Pursuant to the
<br />California Environmental Quality Act
<br />(CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, the
<br />project is exempt from further review
<br />under Section 15331, Class 31, as this
<br />action is designed to preserve a historic
<br />resource. Categorical Exemption No. ER-
<br />2024-04 will be filed for this project.

<br />heard on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at
<br />4:30 p.m.in the City Council Chambers,
<br />22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA
<br />92701.Members of the public may
